abstract: deficit irrigation technique can be used for produce more yield for every unit of irrigation water, and cause to increase crop economical benefit. main purpose of deficit irrigation is high water use efficiency with decreasing in irrigation sufficiency. in this research potential of cropwat model in deficit irrigation management for two crops, wheat and barley in karaj climate was stu...

Despite rapid to-and-fro motion of the retinal image that results from their incessant involuntary eye movements, persons with infantile nystagmus (IN) rarely report the perception of motion smear. We performed two experiments to determine if the reduction of perceived motion smear in persons with IN is associated with an increase in the speed of the temporal impulse response. In Experiment 1, ...

This study tested predictions of Gray's Reinforcement Sensitivity Theory (RST) in subgroups of sex offenders and male non-offenders using an experimental choice task consisting of a reward and a non-reward phase. In addition, RST-related psychometric measures were used. Both experimental and psychometric data were of interest to determine whether sex offenders could be reliably differentiated f...

5.1 INTRODUCTION Any action on a signal that modifies the spectral content of the signal is called filtering. This includes the enhancement or suppression of certain features of the signal and is usually achieved by the use of linear time invariant systems. There are situations where the system may change with time in a particular manner; such systems are called adaptive filters. In this sectio...

This paper describes the noise reduction performance of a switching vector median filter with a random-valued impulse noise detector for color images. As a random-valued impulse noise detector, a minimum spanning tree (MST)-based method is employed. In the switching vector median filter, the impulse noise detector is employed before filtering, and the detection result is used to judge whether a...

Background An increase in the prevalence of overweight and asthma has been observed. Both conditions affect negatively lung function in adults and children. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of overweight and asthma on lung function in children. Methods We designed a case-control study of healthy and asthmatic subjects nested within an epidemiological asthma prevalence study in ...

When the image is highly corrupted, such as images photographed by the darkness regard camera, the detection of flat patterns is easier than that of edges. In this paper, a new adoptive order statistic filter by using flat pattern detection is proposed, and an approach to optimize the parameters of the order statistic filter is introduced. The proposed system is composed of the flat pattern det...

-Investigated is the problem of points matching in stereo images (both color and monochrome). The correlation method is applied to the areas around the points being matched. The influence of noise on the matching errors and the error reduction by vector and scalar filters are analyzed. The obtained results indicate that there is only a small difference between the matching precision of color an...

We show that the reduced-rank output signal computed via truncated (Q)SVD is identical to that from an array of parallelly connected analysis-synthesis finite impulse response (FIR) filter pairs. The filter coefficients are determined by the (Q)SVD, and the filters provide an explicit description of the reduced-rank noise reduction algorithm in the frequency domain.

A new straightforward design of a special class of elliptic IIR lters is presented. The major goal is the complexity reduction of the realized digital lter. The multiplier coe cients are implemented with limited number of shift-and-add operations. This method is also called "multiplierless". Unlike classical design, a closed-form relations are derived giving relationships between the lter speci...
