嗅覚同定検査にスティック型嗅覚検査法（OSIT-J）とオープンエッセンス（OE）がある。これらは検査手順が異なるが，同じ12嗅素で構成されており，近年，広く臨床研究に利用されるようになってきた。今回，我々はこの二つの検査に一致性があるかを検討した。嗅覚正常と自覚している20歳以上40歳未満の男女各10名，全20例の健常ボランティアを対象とし1群は初回にOSIT-J，2週間後にOEを施行し，2群は逆の順で検査を行った。結果：ボランティアの平均年齢32.1歳，男性32.7歳，女性31.4歳で男女間に有意差は認めなかった（P＝0.56）。OSIT-Jの平均値は11.0（中央値11.0，95％CI：10.6～11.6），OEは10.7（中央値11.0，95％CI：10.1～11.2）で，両検査平均値，中央値ともに95％CIに含まれた。嗅素別の正答率は12嗅素中，カレーのみ両検査ともに100％...
