Autism spectrum disorder is a heterogeneous disorder of brain development with wide ranging cognitive deficits. Typically diagnosed before age 3, autism spectrum disorder is behaviorally defined but patients are thought to have protracted alterations in brain maturation. With longitudinal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), we mapped an anomalous developmental trajectory of the brains of autistic...

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder estimated to affect 1 in 110 children in the U.S., yet the pathology of this disorder is not fully understood. Abnormal levels of several growth factors have been demonstrated in adults with ASD, including epidermal growth factor (EGF) and hepatocyte growth factor (HGF). Both of these growth factors serve important roles in neurode...

mulibrey nanism is a rare autosomal recessive syndrome caused by a mutation in the trim37 gene with severe growth retardation and multiple organ involvement. early diagnosis is important because 50% of the patients develop congestive heart failure owing to constrictive pericarditis, and this condition plays a critical role in the final prognosis. a 37-year-old female patient presented with symp...

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a group of developmental disorder characterized by developmentally-inappropriate levels of over activity, inattention and impulsivity. The most common treatment of ADHD is medication with stimulants, by specific methylphenidate which has been shown to improve attention and behavior. The treatment by stimulants may be accompanied by side effects...

Patients with phenylketonuria (PKU) must follow a strict low-phenylalanine (Phe) diet in order to minimise the potentially disabling neuropsychological sequelae of the disorder. Research in this area has unsurprisingly focussed largely on managing blood Phe concentrations to protect the brain. Protein requirements in dietary management of PKU are met mostly from Phe-free protein substitutes wit...

Literature indicating clinical growth hormone deficiency due to depression is extremely limited, despite a well-known impaired basal and/or stimulated growth hormone secretion in depressive disorders. In this communication, we present a case of short stature due to growth hormone neurosecretory dysfunction in a nine year old girl with major depressive disorder.

Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome (WHS) is a rare congenital disorder occurring in approximately 1/50 000 births, with marked pre- and postnatal growth failure. WHS results from the hemizygous deletion encompassing the 4p16.3 region. This report of two children with WHS shows that growth hormone treatment in selected children with WHS and severe short stature may have a substantial effect on long-term g...

The rapid growth in the number of autism disorder among toddlers needs for development easily implemented and effective screening methods. In this current era, causes Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) do not know yet, however, diagnosis detection ASD is based on behaviours symptoms. This paper aims to improve disease prediction accuracy by using Logistic Regression model Machine Learning, through ...

We study the growth of a crystal in presence of a correlated disorder on the substrate. Using functional renormalization group, we show, for a long range disorder correlation, an initial decay of the KPZ type nonlinearity, though over a large length scale the behavior can be governed by the nonlinearity.
