In this work we study a routing and scheduling problem for home care business. The is composed of two conflicting objectives, therefore it as bi-objective one. We obtain the Pareto frontier small size instances using AUGMECON2 method and, bigger cases, developed an heuristic algorithm. also obtained some preliminary results that show algorithm has good behaviour.

in recent years, the existing competitions between investment companies have been increased largely by entering private investors in capital market. large and powerful companies try to achieve the goals predicted to increase the competition capacity. to analyze the efficiency of investment companies, parametric and non-parametric methods are used. in this research, based on the dissociation pow...

5 A numerical technique based on the embedding technique proposed in [21, 33] for dynamic 6 mean-variance (MV) optimization problems may yield spurious points, i.e. points which are not 7 on the efficient frontier. In [27], it is shown that spurious points can be eliminated by examining 8 the left upper convex hull of the solution of the embedded problem. However, any numerical 9 algorithm will...

Multi objective (MO) optimization is an emerging field which is increasingly being implemented in many industries globally. In this work, the MO optimization of the extraction process of bioactive compounds from the Gardenia Jasminoides Ellis fruit was solved. Three swarm-based algorithms have been applied in conjunction with normal-boundary intersection (NBI) method to solve this MO problem. T...

In order to solve large-scale value iteration problems, more intelligent allocation of computing time is needed. We introduce the idea of an information frontier, which allows us to identify maximally productive regions of the problem space. We present a potential information flow metric which allows us to quantify the frontier precisely. We also introduce a partitioning scheme, which effective...

During the last four decades Data Envelopment Analysis DEA has attracted considerable attention in the OR community. Using DEA, the efficiency frontier is constructed based on assumptions concerning the production possibility set rather than a priori defining a functional relationship between inputs and outputs. In this contribution, we propose an algorithm to visualize the efficiency surface i...

Multiobjective optimization deals with finding and evaluating a number of trade-off optimal solutions. Evolutionary multiobjective optimization (EMO), started in early nineties, is now a fast-growing field of research and application in evolutionary computation. Numerous different algorithms have been developed to address computationally complex problems. Many of these algorithms attempt to fin...

This paper proposes a novel multi-objective model for an unrelated parallel machine scheduling problem considering inherent uncertainty in processing times and due dates. The problem is characterized by non-zero ready times, sequence and machine-dependent setup times, and secondary resource constraints for jobs. Each job can be processed only if its required machine and secondary resource (if a...

This paper uses the concept of Meta-frontier to investigate the relationship between Meta Technology Ratios (MTR) and different varieties in datepalms including; Mazafati, Rabi and Zardan that are produced widely in Sistan and Baluchestan province of Iran. We used a stratified sampling of 300 date farmers of this province in 2010, 2011 and 2012 and estimated a stochastic production frontier usi...

Pareto frontiers of bicriteria continuous convex problems can be efficiently computed and optimal theoretical performance bounds have been established. In the case mixed-integer problems, approximation frontier becomes, however, significantly harder. this paper, we propose a new algorithm for approximating programs with constraints. Such are composed patches solutions shared assignments discret...
