We give a sufficient condition for a bi-invariant weight on a Frobenius bimodule to satisfy the extension property. This condition applies to bi-invariant weights on a finite Frobenius ring as a special case. The complex-valued functions on a Frobenius bimodule are viewed as a module over the semigroup ring of the multiplicative semigroup of the coefficient ring.

Properties of matrix product codes over finite commutative Frobenius rings are investigated. The minimum distance of matrix product codes constructed with several types of matrices is bounded in different ways. The duals of matrix product codes are also explicitly described in terms of matrix product codes.

We prove a congruence criterion for the algebraic theory of power operations in Morava E-theory, analogous to Wilkerson’s congruence criterion for torsion free λ-rings.
