Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) is a surface glycoprotein expressed in human epithelial cells and is released from their surface, especially during colorectal cancer. Frequently, colorectal cancer is accompanied by inflammation, where tumor-infiltrating neutrophils play an important role. CEA was also found to be a strong chemotactic agent for neutrophils. The purpose of this study was to find o...
The space group of the title compound, C7H7BO3, previously reported to be P1, is properly Cc. There is no disorder of the formyl group or in the H atoms of the B(OH)2 group. Molecules lie on approximate twofold axes and are related by approximate centers, which relate all but the formyl O atom and boronic acid H atoms. The B-O distances are 1.363 (2) and 1.370 (2) A.
IN THE TITLE COMPOUND (SYSTEMATIC NAME 17-formyl-2,5,8,11,14-penta-oxabicyclo-[13.4.0]nona-deca-15,17,19-triene), C(15)H(20)O(6), the 15-crown-5 ring adopts a twisted conformation. The formyl group is coplanar with the benzene ring. The crystal packing is stabilized by C-H⋯O inter-actions involving the C=O group and ether O atoms as acceptors and methyl-ene CH groups as donors.
Copper bromide catalyzed aerobic oxidative coupling of 2-aminopyridines with cinnamaldehydes directly led to the formation of 3-formyl-2-phenyl-imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines. The quantum chemical calculations were performed to trace the reaction mechanism and get insights into the possible reaction pathway. 2-Aminopyridines on coupling with cinnamaldehyde generate (E)-3-phenyl-3-(pyridin-2-ylamino)ac...
A new approach to the assembly and photochemical disassembly of molecular hosts is developed. It is based on photoinduced fragmentation in hydroxyalkyl dithianes and utilizes a novel spiro-bis-dithiane as a photolabile molecular tether to link two formylated macromolecular blocks, e.g., formyl calixarenes or formyl dibenzocrown ethers. A key feature of this molecular system is that after an ass...
In the structure of the title complex, [Cu(C(8)H(4)O(4))(C(12)H(8)N(2))(H(2)O)]·CH(4)O, the Cu(II) ion is penta-coordinated in a tetra-gonal-pyramidal geometry, with two O atoms of the 3-formyl-2-oxidobenzoate (3-formyl-salicylate) anion and two N atoms of 1,10-phenanthroline occupying the basal plane, and a water O atom located at the apical site. The structure displays O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding.
A novel DCC reaction between aromatic aldehydes or ketones and H-phosphonates has been developed for the synthesis of p-formyl or p-acylphenylphosphonates. The synthetic method has excellent para regioselectivities, good yields, and broad substrate scopes and is more benign to the environment. The DCC reaction also tolerates many functional groups, and results in a series of new p-formyl and p-...
Abstract In this work, the effect of common functional groups, namely hydroxyl, formyl, carboxyl, and amine groups on interfacial behavior surface-modified glass fiber-reinforced epoxy is investigated at molecular scale. The properties epoxy/silica coated with different group systems are quantified by performing pulling test using steered dynamics simulations. It found that system hydroxyl has ...
