Exposure of Venezuelan equine encephalomyelitis (VEE) virus (at -70 C) to 6 x 10 r gamma-radiation (Co) resulted in loss of lethality for young adult mice and guinea pigs, and loss of capacity to produce plaques or cytopathic effects in tissue culture. The suckling mouse was more sensitive for detecting live virus in radiated suspensions than was the adult mouse or guinea pig. Live virus was de...

Let $$G = (V,E)$$ be a connected simple graph of order p and size q. A G is called local antimagic if admits labeling. bijection $$f \colon E \to \{1,2,\ldots,q\}$$ labeling for any two adjacent vertices $$u$$ $$v$$ , we have $$f^+(u) \ne f^+(v)$$ where \sum_{e\in E(u)} f(e)$$ $$E(u)$$ the set edges incident to . Thus, induces proper vertex coloring assigned color $$f^+(v)$$ The chromatic numbe...

Using Galois theory, we explicitly construct (in all complex dimensions $$g\ge 2$$ ) an infinite family of simple $$g$$ -dimensional tori $$T$$ that enjoy the following properties: $$\bullet$$ Picard number is $$0;$$ in particular, algebraic dimension $$0$$ ; if $$T^\vee$$ dual , then $$\mathrm{Hom}(T,T^\vee)=\{0\}$$ automorphism group $$\mathrm{Aut}(T)$$ isomorphic to $$\{\pm 1\} \times \mathb...

The object of this paper is to study $(epsilon)$-Lorentzian para-Sasakian manifolds. Some typical identities for the curvature tensor and the Ricci tensor of $(epsilon)$-Lorentzian para-Sasakian manifold are investigated. Further, we study globally $phi$-Ricci symmetric and weakly $phi$-Ricci symmetric $(epsilon)$-Lorentzian para-Sasakian manifolds and obtain interesting results.

We establish analytically the interactions of electromagnetic wave with a general class of spherical cloaks based on a full wave Mie scattering model. We show that for an ideal cloak the total scattering cross section is absolutely zero, but for a cloak with a specific type of loss, only the backscattering is exactly zero, which indicates the cloak can still be rendered invisible with a monosta...

In the 1920s, Ackermann and von Neumann, in pursuit of Hilbert’s Programme, were working on consistency proofs for arithmetical systems. One proposed method of giving such proofs is Hilbert’s epsilon-substitution method. There was, however, a second approach which was not reflected in the publications of the Hilbert school in the 1920s, and which is a direct precursor of Hilbert’s first epsilon...

We examine energy spectra, fluxes, and transfers of two-dimensional forced incompressible turbulence with linear drag in the energy range, and find marked departures from 5/3 law and the idea of locality. Any attempt to bring the system into the "ideal cascade state" would result either in spectral (bulge) or flux distortion. We corroborate this observation by DNS (spectral code) and eddy-dampe...

The isolation of arboviruses from patient's low titer sera can be difficult. Here we compared the detection efficiency of Dengue (DEN), Yellow Fever (YF), Saint Louis Encephalitis (SLE), West Nile (WN), Ilheus (ILH), Group C (GC), Oropouche (ORO), Mayaro (MAY) and Venezuela Encephalitis Equine (VEE) viruses using a Modified Shell Vial Culture (MSVC) protocol to a Standard Cell Culture (SCC) pro...
