We have developed a new photodetector circuit for use in interferometric gravitational wave detectors. The circuit can detect high laser power with low noise and provide multiple outputs for different signal frequencies. The dynamic range of this circuit is increased in comparison with the photodetector design used until the end of 2005.

A novel architecture for loser-take-all functions is proposed. Inputs and outputs of the circuit are currents, which make the circuit appropriated for low-voltage neural hardware computation. In contrast to most existing realisations the circuit does not require subtraction from a fixed reference what decreases accuracy and input dynamic. Moreover, in addition to the loser, it also outputs the ...

This paper describes the design and implementation of a hydraulic circuit design system using case-based reasoning (CBR) paradigm from AI community. The application domain of hydraulic circuit design and case-based reasoning are briefly reviewed. Then a proposed methodology in computer-aided circuit design and dynamic learning with the use of CBR is described. Finally an application example has...

This paper presents an improved measure for the dynamic functionality of a logic circuit, called delay fault probability (DFP). The new measure reflects both the nominal delay of the paths and the fact that only few paths are critical for path delay fault testing. An efficient distributed algorithm for computing DFP is presented. The experimental results show that, in contrast to DFP, the conve...

This paper presents a test methodology for mixed-signal circuits. The test approach uses a built-in sensor to analyze the dynamic current supply of the circuit under test. This current sensor emphasizes the highest harmonics of the dynamic current of the circuit under test when the current to voltage conversion is done. The goodness of the test method is analyzed first by means of a fault simul...

In this paper, we study the establishment of AC electric arc furnace model via chaotic circuit. First, the static model based on energy conservation theory is established. Then, a dynamic model based on static model created previous is built to simulate AC electric arc furnace dynamic characteristics. Chua’s chaotic circuit is selected to generate modulation wave. The results obtained by using ...

We propose a novel dynamic hierarchical optical path network architecture that achieves efficient optical fast circuit switching. In order to complete wavelength path setup/teardown efficiently, the proposed network adaptively manages waveband paths and bundles of optical paths, which provide virtual mesh connectivity between node pairs for wavelength paths. Numerical experiments show that oper...

In this paper, a low voltage CMOS current controlled floating resistor which is convenient for integrated circuit implementation is designed by using differential pair. The proposed resistor has a simple circuit structure and low power dissipation. This circuit is required ±0.75 V as a power supply. The basic advantages of this circuit are wide tuning range of the resistance value, satisfied fr...

In this paper, the design of a low power and high performance dynamic circuit using a new CMOS domino logic family called feedthrough logic is presented. The need for faster circuits with low power dissipation has made it common practice to use feedthrough logic. The proposed circuit for low power improves dynamic power consumption as compared to the existing feedthrough logic and improves its ...
