The author performed a database search to find the recorded complete genes with complete sequences of Mycobacterium leprae and studied their homology to human genomes by BLAST method. From a total of 35 genes, the potential candidates for further target-based drug development were identified.

Objective(s): In the present study,a new series of 6-methoxy-2-arylquinoline analogues was designed and synthesized as P-glycoprotein (P-gp) inhibitors using quinine and flavones as the lead compounds. Materials and Methods: The cytotoxic activity of the synthesized compounds was evaluated against two human cancer cell lines including EPG85-257RDB, multidrug-resistant gastric carcinoma cells (P...

Abstract: Aim: LK (B-lymphocyte kinase) is a protein from the family SRC (Proto-oncogene tyrosine-protein kinase), an important cell signaling molecule that influences cellular response. The BLK kinase has been potential target for cancer therapy. As result, this could be initial step toward development of novel inhibitors to fight cancer. Materials and Methods: A homology model human tyrosine ...

Typhoid fever caused by the bacteria Salmonella typhi gained resistance through multidrug-resistant S. strains. One of reasons behind β-lactam antibiotic is -lactamase. L, D-Transpeptidases responsible for typhoid as it involved in toxin release that results humans. A molecular modeling study these targeted proteins was carried out various methods, such homology modeling, active site prediction...

G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) are popular biological targets for drug discovery and development. To date there are more than 140 orphan GPCRs, i.e., receptors whose endogenous ligands are unknown. Traditionally orphan GPCRs have been difficult to study and the development of therapeutic compounds targeting these receptors has been extremely slow although these GPCRs are considered importa...

Abstract We introduce a new metric homology theory, which we call Moderately Discontinuous Homology, designed to capture Lipschitz properties of singular subanalytic germs. The main novelty our approach is allow “moderately discontinuous” chains, are specially advantageous for capturing the subtleties outer phenomena. Our invariant finitely generated graded abelian group any and homomorphisms ....

Recently, Ozsváth and Szabó introduced some algebraic constructions computing knot Floer homology in the spirit of bordered homology, including a family algebras $\mathcal B (n)$ and, for generator braid group on $n$ strands, certain t

Kv1.5 channel blockers prolong atrial action potentials and may prevent atrial flutter or fibrillation without affecting ventricular repolarization. Here we characterize the mechanisms of action of 2'-{[2-(4-methoxy-phenyl)-acetylamino]-methyl}-biphenyl-2-carboxylic acid (2-pyridin-3-yl-ethyl)-amide (AVE0118) on Kv1.5 channels heterologously expressed in Xenopus laevis oocytes. Whole cell curre...

This paper focuses on developing an efficient algorithm for analyzing a directed network (graph) from topological viewpoint. A prevalent technique such analysis involves computation of homology groups and their persistence. These concepts are well suited spaces that not directed. As result, one needs concept accommodates orientations in input space. Path-homology developed graphs by Grigoryan e...
