Zoonotic pathogens often infect several animal species, and gene flow among populations infecting different host species may affect the biological traits of the pathogen including host specificity, transmissibility and virulence. The bacterium Campylobacter jejuni is a widespread zoonotic multihost pathogen, which frequently causes gastroenteritis in humans. Poultry products are important trans...

Domestication has been consistently accompanied by a suite of traits called the domestication syndrome. These include increased docility, changes in coat coloration, prolonged juvenile behaviors, modified function of adrenal glands and reduced craniofacial dimensions. Wilkins et al recently proposed that the mechanistic factor underlying traits that encompass the domestication syndrome was alte...

The dramatic phenotypic changes that occur in organisms during domestication leave indelible imprints on their genomes. Although many domesticated plants and animals have been systematically compared with their wild genetic stocks, the molecular and genomic processes underlying fungal domestication have received less attention. Here, we present a nearly complete genome assembly for the recently...

Domesticated camelids spread to Peru’s Northern Highlands by 500 BC. The complexity and development of the society that then developed in region have been explained social networks enabled use llama as a cargo animal. However, actual domesticated Formative Period remains unclear. This study analyzed camelid skeletal excavated from Pacopampa site (1200–400 BC) provide information on these animal...

Cattle evolved as plain-grazing herbivores gathering together into herds to aid in the defense against predators. In non-domesticated species, matriarchal social groups of mothers and offspring exist separately from groups of male animals in various stages of maturity. The size of the group varies depending on the availability of basic resources such as food supply and access to mates for repro...

In this work, we present the complete genome sequence of Corynebacterium ulcerans strain 210932, isolated from a human. The species is an emergent pathogen that infects a variety of wild and domesticated animals and humans. It is associated with a growing number of cases of a diphtheria-like disease around the world.

The exhibition, wellbeing, and prosperity of domesticated animals are firmly affected by environment. Higher encompassing temperature stickiness natural stressors that cause weight on animals. Then again, heat pressure is the central point in decreasing animals’ creation, propagation resistance. Minor components like Selenium (Se) Zinc (Zn) fundamental for keeping up with wellbeing resistance a...

As service robots become increasingly common in society, so too will accidents involving service robots. Current law functions effectively to adjudicate the disputes that arise from such accidents, but as technology improves and robot autonomy grows, it will become much harder to apply currently-existing laws. Instead, new legal frameworks will have to be developed to address questions of liabi...

Corynebacterium ulcerans is an emergent pathogen infecting wild and domesticated animals worldwide that may serve as reservoirs for zoonotic infections. In this study, we present the draft genome of C. ulcerans strain 03-8664. The draft genome has 2,428,683 bp, 2,262 coding sequences, and 12 rRNA genes.
