in many signal processing applications, an appropriate measure to comparetwo signals plays a fundamental role in both implementing the algorithm andevaluating its performance. several techniques have been introduced in literature assimilarity measures. however, the existing measures are often either impractical forsome applications or they have unsatisfactory results in some other applications....
Two-dimensional (2D) spectroscopy is a powerful technique to study nuclear and electronic correlations between different transitions or initial and final states. Here we describe in detail our development of inherently phase-stabilized 2D Fourier-transform spectroscopy for electronic transitions. A diffractive-optic setup is used to realize heterodyne-detected femtosecond four-wave mixing in a ...

The phenomenon of phase transitions in one-dimensional systems is discussed. Equilibrium systems are reviewed and some properties of an energy function which may allow phase transitions and phase ordering in one dimension are identified. We then give an overview of the one-dimensional phase transitions which have been studied in nonequilibrium systems. A particularly simple model, the zero-rang...
The finite temperature phase transition in the SU(2)-Higgs model at a Higgs boson mass MH ≃ 35 GeV is studied in numerical simulations on four dimensional lattices with time-like extensions up to Lt = 5. Tc/MH is extrapolated to the continuum limit and a comparison with the perturbative prediction is made. A one-loop calculation to the coupling anisotropies of the SU(2)-Higgs model on lattices ...
The two-dimensional least mean square ( 2 0 LMS) adaptive filters have been recently used in the image processing applications for reducing the noise. I n this paper, a new two-dimensional LMS algorithm is proposed. For the special desires to the linear phase constraint during filtering the images, a n additional linear phase constraint is added to the existing 2 0 LMS algorithms. Compare with ...
Femtosecond phase-coherent two-dimensional (2D) spectroscopy has been experimentally demonstrated as the direct optical analog of 2D nuclear magnetic resonance. An acousto-optic pulse shaper created a collinear three-pulse sequence with well-controlled and variable interpulse delays and phases, which interacted with a model atomic system of rubidium vapor. The desired nonlinear polarization was ...
this paper reports the synthesis of polypyrrole coated sno2/znoelectrospunnanofibers via vapor phase polymerization method. in order to prepare one dimensional (sno2-zno)/polypyrrole with the core sheath structure, first sno2-zno composite nanofibers were synthesized via electrospinning method followed by adsorption of fe3+ on the surface of the sno2-zno nanofibers and finally pyrrole was polym...
The main result of this paper states that phase retrieval in infinitedimensional Hilbert spaces is never uniformly stable, in sharp contrast to the finite-dimensional setting in which phase retrieval is always stable. This leads us to derive stability results for signals depending on how well they are approximated by finite expansions.
Using path-integral Quantum Monte Carlo we study the low-temperature phase diagram of a two-dimensional superconductor within a phenomeno-logical model, where vortices have a finite mass and move in a dissipative environment modeled by a Caldeira-Leggett term. The quantum vortex liquid at high magnetic fields exhibits superfluidity and thus corresponds to a superinsulating phase which is charac...
