Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia created on the web by various participants. Although it is not created for the purpose of helping studies in language processing, its size and well-formed structure is attracting many researchers in the area. In this review, we selected five characteristic papers to show various creative uses of Wikipedia within the three years.

This short feature describes a project to create an online opera which deploys a new web technology, the Syzygy Surfer, developed in the Institute of Creative Technologies (IOCT) at De Montfort University. The project is a collaboration between the IOCT and The Opera Group.

A systematic form of creative knowledge discovery is outlined, requiring taxonomies to generalise knowledge structures and mappings between taxonomies to find parallels between knowledge structures from different domains.
