The behaviour of the deep geological repository planned by SKB will depend on the climatic evolution over a long term, such as the advance and retreat of ice sheets after glaciation and deglaciation periods. The melt water enriched in oxygen due to a deglaciation episode will infiltrate into the geological media and may compromise the reducing conditions of the repository. It has been establish...
Objective: To evaluate the properties of the Identity-Consequence Fatigue Scale (ICFS) in patients with lung cancer (LC), assessing the intensity of fatigue and associated factors. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study involving LC patients, treated at a teaching hospital in Brazil, who completed the ICFS. Patients with chronic heart disease (CHD) and healthy controls, matched for age and...
First discharge calculations are carried out to set release characteristics for the hazardous chemical (including depressurisation to ambient). Scenarios which may be modelled includes releases from vessels (leaks or catastrophic ruptures), short pipes or long pipes and releases of combustion products following a warehouse fire. Released considered include releases of sub-cooled liquid, superhe...
The environmental code HARP (HAzardous Radioactivity Propagation) estimates consequences of accidental radioactivity releases from a nuclear facility and on basis of simulation of dispersion in atmosphere, deposition of radionuclides on the ground and further propagation through the food chains towards human body. Classical Gaussian approach in the form of hybrid puff-plume segmented model SGPM...
Although many of the fundamental biological features of toxoplasmosis are today well appreciated, the practical problem of prevention of its most serious consequence--disabling congenital disease, remains unsolved. The reasons vary in different communities, but are concerned with detection of the chief mode of spread, assessment of incidence, delineation of vulnerable antenatal women in latentl...
One of the most successful approaches to the formalization of commonsense reasoning is the work by Lehmann and colleagues, known as the KLM approach, in which defeasible consequence relations with a preferential semantics are studied. In spite of its success, KLM is limited to propositional logic. In recent work we provided the semantic foundation for extending defeasible consequence relations ...

We discuss some consequence relations in DRT useful to discourse semantics. We incorporate some consequence relations into DRT using se-quent calculi. We also show some connections of these consequence relations and existing partial logics. Our attempt enables us to display several versions of DRT by employing different consequence relations.
In 1963, Abraham Robinson applied his newly discovered nonstandard analysis to formal firstorder languages and developed a nonstandard logic [9] relative to the “truth” concept and structures. Since that time not a great deal of fundamental research has been attempted in this specific area with one notable exception [2]. However, when results from this discipline are utilized they have yielded ...
