Coalition Logic does not explicitly talk about the effects of a coalitional move on the strategic ability of the remaining players, while in Game Theory reasoning patterns involving this concept often occur. To fill this gap, we study an update operator for strategic ability update in coalition structures. Its formal connections with the update operators known from Dynamic Epistemic Logic will ...
This paper is a survey of the work in the Nash program for coalitional games, a research agenda proposed by Nash (1953) to bridge the gap between the non-cooperative and cooperative approaches to game theory. Journal of Economic Literature Classification: C71, C72, C78.
There exist coalitional games with transferable utility which have the same core but different nucleoli. We show that this cannot happen in the case of assignment games. Whenever two assignment games have the same core, their nucleoli also coincide. To show this, we prove that the nucleolus of an assignment game coincides with that of its buyer–seller exact representative.
Despite mounting evidence for the strong role of genetics in the phenotypic manifestation of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), the specific genes responsible for the variable forms of ASD remain undefined. ASD may be best explained by a combinatorial genetic model with varying epistatic interactions across many small effect mutations. Coalitional or cooperative game theory is a technique that stu...
The game of resource extraction / capital accumulation is a stochastic nonzero-sum infinite horizon game, obtained as an extension the well-known optimal growth model to m strategically competing players, who jointly posses renewable resource. existence Nash equilibrium in different, often symmetric, frameworks received significant attention scientific literature on topic. focus this paper intr...
In the framework of (set-valued or single-valued) solutions for coalitional games with transferable utility, the three notions of consistency, bilateral consistency, and converse consistency are frequently used to provide axiomatic characterizations of a particular solution (like the core, prekernel, prenucleolus, Shapley value, and EANSC-value). Our main equivalence theorem claims that a solut...
This paper takes the idea of coalitional behaviour groups of people occasionally acting together to their mutual benefit and incorporates it into the framework of evolutionary game theory that underpins the social learning literature. This paper defines an equilibrium selection criterion which we call coalitional stochastic stability (CSS). This differs from existing work on stochastic stabilit...
