A novel indolocarbazole-based chemosensor 1 containing hydrogen bond donor moieties has been established as a selective colorimetric and fluorometric sensor for F⁻ in CH₃CN/H₂O (4:1 v/v). Upon the addition of a series of tetrabutylammonium salts to receptor 1 in aqueous CH₃CN, only when the counter ion was F⁻ was a significant color change (from light violet to dark orange) observed.
This work deals with the development of ultra-thin film nanosensors for selective and sensitive detection toxic Hg2+ cations in aqueous media. 1,8-Bis[(2-aminoethyl)amino]anthraquinone D0 was functionalized by alkoxy groups different length to prepare ligands D3 D12 linear arrangement two polyamine receptors lipophilic alkyl chains. Chemosensor only binds copper(II) mercury(II) water/methanol (...
A new chromogenic protocol has been developed for rapid and selective detection of nerve agents like tabun. The chemsensor displayed a drastic color change from its colorless solution to yellow instantaneously with an 89 nm bathochromic shift. No inference of other chemical warfare agents and its mimics was observed either with the naked-eye or by UV-Vis spectroscopy. The development of a porta...
H2S is a reactive nucleophilic species with toxic effects towards human beings. Its efficient detection and marking is still a challenging job due to its similar nucleophilic character to a number of biothiols, like glutathione, cysteine, homocysteine etc. We report herein the first ever use of a chemosensor incorporating three electrophilic centres to achieve high sensitivity and very fast res...
The halide anions are essential for supporting life. Therefore, anion analyses of paramount importance. For this reason, we have performed both qualitative and quantitative ana- lyses halides (chloride, bromide, iodide) using the Tl(III) complex azodye, 4-(2-pyridylazo)re- sorcinol (PAR), a potential new chemical reagent/sensor that utilizes substitution reaction whereas Tl(III)PAR reacts with ...
This article summarizes the application of fluorescent sensors to in vitro diagnostic systems measuring critical care analytes in whole blood. We discuss recent advances in fluorescent chemosensor technologies employing fluorescence indicators used for this application. This paper touches on key materials, structure–property relations, and design considerations for maximum utility in low-cost p...
A novel reversible fluorescence turn-on chemosensor 1 for Hg(2+) was constructed based on a new receptor composed of an S atom and an alkene moiety. The sensor showed a large fluorescence enhancement response (1000-fold enhancement), high selectivity, and high sensitivity with a detection limit of 27.5 nM. Significantly, the reversible sensor functioned well in the near pure aqueous medium and ...
Flavone compounds present as secondary metabolites in many plants have beneficial phytochemical activity. Isolation of flavones from various parts has been widely carried out, but the synthesis pathway is another way to obtain higher yields. This research aimed synthesize flavone vanillin and 2-hydroxyacetophenone through chalcone intermediates produce a 74% yield using an iodide catalyst. new ...
