in this paper, control of a non-isothermal continuous stirred tank reactor in which two parallel autocatalytic reactions take place has been addressed. the reactor shows chaotic behavior for a certain set of reactor parameters. in order to control the product concentration, an optimal state feedback controller has been designed. since concentrations of reactor species are not measured, an obser...

In this paper, we define a simple criterion of the synchronization threshold in the set of coupled chaotic systems (flows or maps) with diagonal diffusive coupling. The condition of chaotic synchronization is determined only by two "parameters of order," i.e., the largest Lyapunov exponent and the coupling coefficient. Our approach can be applied for both regular chaotic networks and arrays or ...

First, this paper proposes a general procedure for the anti-synchronization of identical chaotic systems using novel sliding mode control method. The general result derived using novel sliding mode control method is established via Lyapunov stability theory. As an application of the general result, the problem of anti-synchronization of identical Vaidyanathan-Madhavan chaotic systems (2013) is ...

In this letter, adaptive synchronization of two uncertain chaotic systems is presented using adaptive backstepping with tuning functions. The master system is any smooth, bounded, linear-in-the-parameters nonlinear chaotic system, while the slave system is a nonlinear chaotic system in the strict-feedback form. Both master and slave systems are with key parameters unknown. Global stability and ...

We present an autoadaptive algorithm for in-use parameter estimation of MEMS inertial accelerometers and gyros using multilevel quasi-static states for greater accuracy and reliability. Multi-level quasi-static states are detected robustly using data from both gyros and accelerometers. Proper estimation of time-varying sensor parameters allows us to develop a mixed-reality real-time hand-held o...

Recently, a novel three-dimensional highly chaotic attractor has been discovered by Srisuchinwong and Munmuangsaen (2010). This paper investigates the adaptive control and synchronization of this highly chaotic attractor with unknown parameters. First, adaptive control laws are designed to stabilize the highly chaotic system to its unstable equilibrium point at the origin based on the adaptive ...

This paper consist of two sections: control and stabilizing approach for chaotic behaviour of converter is introduced in first section of this paper for the removal of harmonic caused by the chaotic behaviour in current converter. For this work, a Time- Delayed Feedback Controller (TDFC) control method for stability chaotic behaviour of buck converter for switching courses in current control mo...

Chaos is a special feature of complex parametric nonlinear dynamical systems. It has the random-like behavior usually seen in stochastic systems although it is associated with deterministic dynamics. Chaos is at the edge of stability and therefore could easily lead systems to an unstable, performance-degraded, or even catastrophic situation. In such cases, chaos is considered as undesired and s...

In the paper we propose a new synchronization principle. To guarantee synchronization between coupled chaotic oscillators, proper coupling constants are selected by the Liapunov stability theory and Hurwitz Theorem. As an example and application, we prove the conjecture [Wu & Chua, 1994] that synchronization between two chaotic Chua’s circuits can be achieved by using the second state as feedba...

We study, analytically and numerically, the stability of quantum motion for a classically chaotic system. We show the existence of different regimes of fidelity decay. In particular, when the underlying classical dynamics is weakly chaotic, deviations from Fermi-golden-rule and Lyapounov regimes are observed and discussed.
