Background and Aims: Elastomeric chains are known as a current device with the purpose of dental movement in orthodontic treatments. The aim of this study was to compare the elastomeric behavior and force degradation rate between different elastomeric chains existing in Iran in different time durations. Materials and Methods: 11 different elastomeric chains used in this study were: Class One, ...

technology transmission has engaged not only developing countries but also many western research communities. foreign direct investment is a commonly used method to transfer the technology. since specific studies on factors affecting the transmission of technology through foreign direct investment has not been made in nanotechnology, the purpose of this study is to identify the issues affecting...

‎Given the importance of Markov chains in information theory‎, ‎the definition of conditional probability for these random processes can also be defined in terms of mutual information‎. ‎In this paper‎, ‎the relationship between the concept of sufficiency and Markov chains from the perspective of information theory and the relationship between probabilistic sufficiency and algorithmic sufficien...

Global value chains are a complex product of the international fragmentation of production expansion that has revolutionized the production organization of the global economy and increased trade in services and intermediary goods. This new form of trade has allowed developing countries to benefit from international trade with specialization and comparative advantage in tasks, without having a ...

The authors model contact tracing as a secondary contagion process that competes with of the pathogen, thus effectively breaking transmission chains, and show allows to bend curve.

in this paper we enumerate fuzzy subgroups, up to a natural equivalence, of some finite abelian p-groups of rank two where p is any prime number. after obtaining the number of maximal chains of subgroups, we count fuzzy subgroups using inductive arguments. the number of such fuzzy subgroups forms a polynomial in p with pleasing combinatorial coefficients. by exploiting the order, we label the s...

To determine if local transmission was responsible for rising tuberculosis incidence in a recently dispersed migrant community in Birmingham, UK, during 2004-2013, we conducted enhanced epidemiologic investigation of molecular clusters. This technique identified exact locations of social mixing and chains of apparent recent transmission, which can be helpful for directing resources.

The glN and Uq(glN ) quantum spin chains in the presence of integrable spin impurities are considered. Within the Bethe ansatz formulation, we derive the associated transmission amplitudes, and the corresponding transmission matrices –representations of the underlying quadratic algebra– that physically describe the interaction between the various particle-like excitations displayed by these mod...
