For a ring R, endomorphism α of R and positive integer n we define a skew triangular matrix ring Tn(R,α). By using an ideal theory of a skew triangular matrix ring Tn(R,α) we can determine prime, primitive, maximal ideals and radicals of the ring R[x;α]/〈xn〉, for each positive integer n, where R[x;α] is the skew polynomial ring, and 〈xn〉 is the ideal generated by xn.

In this paper, we classify the skew cyclic codes over Fp + vF_p + v^2F_p, where p is a prime number and v^3 = v. Each skew cyclic code is a F_p+vF_p+v^2F_p-submodule of the (F_p+vF_p+v^2F_p)[x;alpha], where v^3 = v and alpha(v) = -v. Also, we give an explicit forms for the generator of these codes. Moreover, an algorithm of encoding and decoding for these codes is presented.

In this survey paper we define partial actions of groups on algebras and give several related results. For any partial action a partial skew group ring is defined. This partial skew group ring is not always associative. Conditions under which associativity holds are studied. Several other questions are considered like, for example, enveloping actions and properties of partial skew group rings.
