In RSA, the public modulus N = pq is the product of two primes of the same bit-size, the public exponent e and the private exponent d satisfy ed ≡ 1 (mod (p−1)(q−1)). In many applications of RSA, d is chosen to be small. This was cryptanalyzed by Wiener in 1990 who showed that RSA is insecure if d < N. As an alternative, Quisquater and Couvreur proposed the CRT-RSA scheme in the decryption phas...

In this paper we analyze practical aspects of the differential fault attack on RSA published by Boneh, Demillo and Lipton from Bellcore. We focus on the CRT variant, which requires only one faulty signature to be entirely broken provided that no DFA countermeasures are in use. Usually the easiest approach for the attacker is to introduce a fault in one of the two RSA-CRT exponentiations. These ...

In this work we consider a variant of RSA whose public and private exponents can be chosen significantly smaller than in typical RSA. In particular, we show that it is possible to have private exponents smaller thanN which are resistant to all known small private exponent attacks. This allows for instances of RSA with short CRT-exponents and short public exponents. In addition, the number of bi...

In this paper, a color difference is defined instead of the conventional color differences to evaluate gamut-mapping techniques for electronic endoscope images reproduced on CRT under environmental illuminant. This color difference is defined from Mahalanobis distance by using covariance matrices for differences of metric lightness, chroma and hue angle. The covariance matrices for endoscope im...

Most assembly processes on the nano-scale take place in a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) for the reason of high magnification range of the microscope itself. Like all microscopes, the SEM delivers visual data just in two dimensions. This is a bottleneck for all assembly processes which require of course information of the parts to join in a third dimension. This paper shows an approach with...

Microtubules are structural and motile elements. They are essential in numerous cell processes. Their function will be greatly improved by our understanding of their molecular structure, which requires extracting microtubules from the Cellular Electron Tomography Images. Manual segmentation and measurement of the microtubules from 3D dataset may require several man-hours of work, and the manual...

We adapt the CRT approach to computing Hilbert class polynomi-als to handle a wide range of class invariants. For suitable discriminants D, this improves its performance by a large constant factor, more than 200 in the most favourable circumstances. This has enabled record-breaking constructions of elliptic curves via the CM method, including examples with |D| > 10 15 .

In this paper, we present the use of atlas-based indexes of abnormality for the quantification of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) outcome in terms of motion. We build an atlas of normal motion from 21 healthy volunteers to which we compare 88 CRT candidates before and after the therapy. Abnormal motion is quantified locally in time and space using a statistical distance to normality, an...

The flux tube solution in the Euclidean spacetime with the color longitudinal electric field in the SU(2) Yang Mills Higgs theory with broken gauge symmetry is found. Some arguments is given that this flux tube is a pure quantum object in the SU(3) quantum theory reduced to the SU(2) Yang Mills Higgs theory.
