Partial cross ownership (PCO) in a dyad supply chain refers to a situation where each firm holds a portion of its partner’s shares. We study this topic in push and pull supply chains, and prove that neither the supply chain’s nor any member’s profit changes with the percentage of the leader’s shares the follower holds. However, while the profits of the chain and the leader increase with the per...

Plyometric research in the upper extremity is limited, with the effects of open-chain plyometric exercises being studied most. Kinematic and ground reaction force data concerning closed-chain upper extremity plyometrics has yet to be examined. Twenty-one recreationally active male subjects performed four variations of plyometric push-ups in a counterbalanced order. These included box drop push-...

The knowledge organizations have already deployed or are deploying their Knowledge Management systems. And the knowledge service is the key mechanism for knowledge sharing in an organization. There are two mechanisms to implement knowledge service: “Pull” and “Push”. The “Push” mechanism is widely used to push the right knowledge to the right person at the right time actively. At present, the p...

A MMIC colpitts oscillator in push-push configuration is presented using InGaP/GaAs HBTs. The output at the second harmonic enhances the frequency range while preserving the well-known advantages of the Colpitts concept. Moreover, additional features like enhanced load-pull immunity and inherent frequency divider functionality are included. The MMIC VCO reaches state-of-the-art phasenoise perfo...

Two-photon fluorescence polarisation and stimulated emission depletion dynamics are investigated in three high two -photon cross-section push-push polyenes: OM62, LP79 and OM77 and compared to the behaviour of a standard fluorophore (rhodamine 6G). Two-photon fluorescence anisotropy measurements (R(0) and Ω) were undertaken using picosecond time-correlated single photon counting (TCSPC). For OM...

introduction: the purpose of this study was to compare the push-out bond strength of white proroot mineral trioxide aggregate (mta), biodentine, calcium-enriched mixture (cem) cement and endosequence root repair material (errm) putty after exposure to blood. methods and materials: a total of 96 root dentin slices with a standardized thickness of 1.00±0.05 mm and standardized canal spaces were r...

There is a recent interest in the research of Lifelong Learning and other related kinds of learning (formal, non-formal and informal). Some projects have been held in order to propose frameworks for managing all these types of learning, giving special attention to the informal learning. The TRAILER project is one of them. It supports the identification and management of informal learning activi...

This study investigates whether and how a platform’s provision of performance feedback to users about their prior content contributions can help to stimulate users’ subsequent contributions. We draw on social value orientation theory to hypothesize how different framings may impact users’ likelihood of producing additional content. We partnered with a major mobile crowdsourcing recipe platform ...

This paper investigates the joint use of push-out mechanisms with RED-like discarding policies to support service differentiation in the Internet. The efficiency and the degree of differentiation of a Complete Sharing with push-out, a RIO and a RIO with push-out queues are assessed. Results indicate that push-out used jointly with RED-like policies does not improve the performance.

Service developers and standardization bodies have focused on push concepts for the mobile Internet recently. Because of the convergence of IP and mobile networks a common architecture for push scenarios is possible. We discuss several use-cases for push communication concepts and their technological implications. Finally we present and evaluate a unified push service architecture, based on SIP.
