We provide a treatement of the intuitionistic 3 modality in the style of justification logic. We introduce a new type of terms, called witness terms, that justify consistency, obtain justification analogs for the constructive modal logics CK, CD, CT, and CS4, and prove the realization theorem for them.

In orther to determine the critical period for weed control in the Chitti bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) line KS-21467 a field study was conducted at the Bean Research Station of Khomein by a randomized completele block design in 2001 and 2002. The treatments included weed free and weed infested period until 20, 28, 36 and 44 days after planting (DAP) with two weed free and weedy checks. The results...

Background: Weedy non-native species have long been predicted to be more phenotypically plastic than native species. Question: Are weedy non-native species more plastic than natives? Organisms: Fourteen perennial plant species: Acer platanoides, Acer saccharum, Bromus inermis, Bromus latiglumis, Celastrus orbiculatus, Celastrus scandens, Elymus repens, Elymus trachycaulus, Plantago major, Plant...

in this experiment which was conducted at a field of ramin agriculture and natural resources university (khouzestan, iran) in 2005, the effect of molinate at 0 (weedy check), 2.16, 3.6 and 5 kg/ha and seeding rate of 100, 120 and 140 kg/ha was evaluated on the competition between rice and barnyard grass (echinochloa crus-galli) in a split plot design with four replication. the interaction effec...

Weed competes with crops for water, nutrients and light so weed infestation is one of the major threats to crop. Present investigation was aimed to asses the comparative efficacy of different herbicides for weed management in wheat crop under agro-climatic conditions of Pakistan. This experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) design with five replications. Different h...

Angiosperms evolved and diversified during the Cretaceous period. Early angiosperms were short-stature weedy plants thought to have increased fire frequency and mortality in gymnosperm forest, aiding their own expansion. However, no explorations have considered whether the range of novel fuel types that diversified throughout the Cretaceous also altered fire behaviour, which should link more st...

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars show impairment of growth in response to environmental stresses such as cold at the early seedling stage. Locally adapted weedy rice is able to survive under adverse environmental conditions, and can emerge in fields from greater soil depth. Cold-tolerant weedy rice can be a good genetic source for developing cold-tolerant, weed-competitive rice cultivars. An in...

The movement of transgenes from crops to weeds and the resulting consequences are concerns of modern agriculture. The possible generation of "superweeds" from the escape of fitness-enhancing transgenes into wild populations is a risk that is often discussed, but rarely studied. Oilseed rape, Brassica napus (L.), is a crop with sexually compatible weedy relatives, such as birdseed rape (Brassica...

Ecological selection forces for weedy and domesticated traits have influenced the evolution of seed shape in Setaria resulting in similarity in seed shape that reflects similarity in ecological function rather than reflecting phylogenetic relatedness. Seeds from two diploid subspecies of Setaria viridis, consisting of one weedy subspecies and two races of the domesticated subspecies, and four o...
