This letter presents a novel vertical waveguide-to-microstrip self-diplexing transition for dual-band applications. The is realized with standard printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing processing, making it suitable mass production and practical A waveguide screwed on the topside of stack-up. Dual-band operation achieved by coupling two microstrips (one each band) to radiating patches throug...

—Although Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and its successor Transport Layer Security (TLS) are the for transport layer security, their cryptographic operations tend to be highly CPU intensive. Web systems that support SSL/TLS often deploy several locally or globally distributed SSL reverse proxies in front of Web servers to offload SSL/TLS operations from Web servers and improve the execution perfo...

A transition from coaxial-tocoplanar waveguide (CPW) for microwave breast cancer detection antennas is presented and design rules based on analytical calculations and simulated one using CST Microwave Studio 2014 simulator are presented. The measured results show that an operating frequency range extends from 1GHz to 15GHz is obtained. This paper discuss mathematical method of coplanar waveguid...

The Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol is analyzed using a nite-state enumeration tool called Mur'. The analysis is presented using a sequence of incremental approximations to the SSL 3.0 handshake protocol. Each simpliied protocol is \model-checked" using Mur', with the next protocol in the sequence obtained by correcting errors that Mur' nds automatically. This process identiies the main sho...

Secure Socket Layer (SSL) has functional limitations that prevent end-to-end security in the presence of untrusted intermediary application proxies used by clients to communicate with servers. This paper introduces Multiple-Channel SSL (MC-SSL), an extension of SSL, and describes and analyzes the design of MC-SSL proxy channel protocol that enables the support for end-to-end security of client-...

When browsing the web using HTTPS, if a user Alice ignores, or clicks through, the browser’s SSL warnings of an invalid SSL certificate, she exposes her browser sessions to a Man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack, allowing attackers to intercept communication in the SSL channel. Recent work has measured the click-through rates for SSL warnings, indicating that more than 50% users click through SSL wa...

As dynamic web content and security capabilities are becoming popular in current web sites, the performance demand on application servers that host the sites is increasing, leading sometimes these servers to overload. As a result, response times may grow to unacceptable levels and the server may saturate or even crash. In this paper we present a session-based adaptive overload control mechanism...

We study two-color parametric nonlinear modes in waveguide arrays with a quadratic nonlinear response. We predict theoretically and observe experimentally a new type of phase transition manifested in an abrupt power-controlled change of the mode structure from unstaggered to staggered, due to the interplay of localization and synchronization in parametrically driven discrete systems.

Man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks pose a serious threat to SSL/TLS-based e-commerce applications, and there are only a few technologies available to mitigate the risks. In [OHB05], we introduced the notion of SSL/TLS session-aware user authentication to protect SSL/TLSbased e-commerce applications against MITM attacks, and we proposed an implementation based on impersonal authentication tokens. ...
