background: the accidents are the leading cause of morbidity and mortality among children in in the world. the aim of this study was to determine the effect of educational intervention on promotion of prevention behaviors of home accidents in mothers with children less than 5- year based on protection motivation theory (pmt) in 2015. materials and methods: in this controlled interventional stud...

Key Messages Octreotide can be used as an adjunctive therapy to increase phosphorus levels in patients with tumor-induced osteomalacia. Malignant phosphaturic mesenchymal tumor (PMT) may benefit from treatment with peptide receptor radionucleotide therapy. Context The success of treatment modalities for malignant PMT is limited. Octreotide has been used to treat hypophosphatemia in patients w...

A description is given of the light-injection calibration system that has been developed for the MINOS long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiment. The system is based upon pulsed blue LEDs monitored by PIN photodiodes. It is designed to measure non-linearities in the PMT gain curves, as well as monitoring any drifts in PMT gain, at the 1% level.

OBJECTIVES This study reports an application of protection motivation theory (PMT) to the prediction of parental adherence to eye patching recommendations for children with amblyopia over a 2-month period. The study also considered the role of past behaviour in PMT. DESIGN AND METHODS A total of 151 parents of children with amblyopia who were attending follow-up appointments for orthoptic tre...

Pasteurella multocida causes various diseases in a broad range of wild and domestic animals. Toxigenic strains of the serotypes A and D produce an AB protein toxin named Pasteurella multocida toxin (PMT). PMT constitutively activates the heterotrimeric G protein subunits Gαq, Gα13, and Gαi through deamidation of a glutamine residue, which results in cytoskeletal rearrangements as well as increa...

Recanalization therapy is controversial in patients with acute stroke due to terminal internal carotid artery (ICA) occlusion. A 78-year-old man underwent successful percutaneous transarterial microsnare-assisted thrombectomy (PMT) for the treatment of acute terminal ICA occlusion, which was recanalized completely. This case report suggests that PMT is a potential treatment for patients with ac...

The dermonecrotic toxins from Pasteurella multocida (PMT), Bordetella (DNT), Escherichia coli (CNF1-3), and Yersinia (CNFY) modulate their G-protein targets through deamidation and/or transglutamination of an active site Gln residue, which results in activation of the G protein and its cognate downstream signaling pathways. Whereas DNT and the CNFs act on small Rho GTPases, PMT acts on the α su...

The light gains of a detector system (PMT and scintillator) is characterized by the number photoelectrons produced per unit energy (usually MeV). In this study, results gain tests for 10 Hamamatsu R11833 model photomultiplier tubes (PMT) are shown. Various radioactive sources were used in conjunction with EJ309 liquid scintillator to determine gain. was determined comparing size signal generate...

BACKGROUND Bovine congenital pseudomyotonia (PMT) is an impairment of muscle relaxation induced by exercise preventing animals from performing rapid movements. Forms of recessively inherited PMT have been described in different cattle breeds caused by two independent mutations in ATP2A1 encoding a skeletal-muscle Ca2+-ATPase (SERCA1). We observed symptoms of congenital PMT in four related Romag...

Tc-99m PMT and Tc-99m GSA can be taken up by hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), but there has been no report concerning HCC showing accumulation of both of Tc-99m PMT and Tc-99m GSA. In this paper we describe a case of two simultaneously developed HCCs, one of which took up both tracers but the other took up neither of them.
