Surface smoothness of ceramic glazes is always an important characteristic of ceramic glazes as a point of surface engineering studies. Surface roughness affects chemical resistivity, glossiness and stainabiliy of glazes. In fact, less surface roughness improves cleanability of the surface by the least usage amount of detergents. In this investigation, surface topography of two common opaque gl...

We consider spherical data Xi noised by a random rotation εi ∈ SO(3) so that only the sample Zi = εiXi, i = 1, . . . , N is observed. We define a nonparametric test procedure to distinguish H0 : ”the density f of Xi is the uniform density f0 on the sphere” and H1 : ”‖f − f0‖2 ≥ CψN and f is in a Sobolev space with smoothness s”. For a noise density fε with smoothness index ν, we show that an ad...

run-out-table (rot) is located between last finishing stand and down coiler in a hot strip mill. as the hot steel strip passes from rot, water jets impact on it from top and bottom and strip temperature decreases approximately from 800-950 °c to 500-750°c. the temperature history that strip experience while passing through rot affects significantly the metallurgical and mechanical properties, s...

‎in this work we prove malliavin differentiability for the solution to an sde with locally lipschitz and semi-monotone drift‎. ‎to prove this formula‎, ‎we construct a sequence of sdes with globally lipschitz drifts and show that the $p$-moments of their malliavin derivatives are uniformly bounded‎.

This paper is a study of the degree of approximation by the linear combinations of the derivatives of certain Durrmeyer type integral modification of the Baskakov operators in terms of the higher order modulus of smoothness.

By using Bismut’s approach to the Malliavin calculus with jumps, we study the regularity of the distributional density for SDEs driven by degenerate additive Lévy noises. Under full Hörmander’s conditions, we prove the existence of distributional density and the weak continuity in the first variable of the distributional density. Moreover, under a uniform first order Lie’s bracket condition, we...

This paper considers a problem of adaptation in estimating a fractional antiderivative of an unknown drift density from observations in Gaussian white noise. This problem is closely related to the Wicksell problem. Under the assumption that the drift density belongs to a Sobolev class with unknown smoothness, an adaptive estimator is constructed. r 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

By applying the supersymmetric approach we rigorously prove smoothness of the averaged density of states for a three dimensional random band matrix ensemble, in the limit of infinite volume and fixed band width. We also prove that the resulting expression for the density of states coincides with the Wigner semicircle with a precision 1/W , for W large but finite.

PVC frame cutting process by guillotine is a common method that attracted attention of car parts and PVC decorating furniture producers. In this paper, the effects of main parameters such as cutting speed, lubricants and cutting frame holder pressure force on PVC frame section surface smoothness is investigated by experimental methods on a specified PVC frame sample and then by FEM simulation u...
