Objective(s): Production of a recombinant and immunogenic antigen using dengue virus type-3 envelope protein is a key point in dengue vaccine development and diagnostic researches. The goals of this study were providing a recombinant protein from dengue virus type-3 envelope protein and evaluation of its immunogenicity in mice. Materials and Methods: Multiple amino acid sequences of different i...

In this paper we consider a PDE-constrained optimization problem where an H1 regularization control term is introduced. We address both timeindependent and time-dependent versions. We introduce bound constraints on the state, and show how these can be handled by a Moreau-Yosida penalty function. We propose Krylov solvers and preconditioners for the different problems and illustrate their perfor...

Moreau-Yosida based approximation techniques for optimal control of variational inequalities are investigated. Properties of the path generated by solutions to the regularized equations are analyzed. Combined with a semi-smooth Newton method for the regularized problems these lead to an efficient numerical technique.

one of the most important measures, in order to increase animal products and reduce imports, is the industrialization of animal husbandry units, specially the dairy cattle. the condition of milk production would be improved by this industrialization, which is in the direction of increasing the efficiency of milk production units. the purpose of this study is calculate , the efficiency of the tr...

We discuss a new version of the Hahn-Banach theorem, with applications to linear and nonlinear functional analysis, convex analysis, and the theory of monotone multifunc-tions. We show how our result can be used to prove a " localized " version of the Fenchel-Moreau formula — even when the classical Fenchel-Moreau formula is valid, the proof of it given here avoids the problem of the " vertical...

1. Estimating the Number of Mixtures One of the main difficulties concerning a MoG model to represent the class conditional density is the decision on the number of components K. Many approaches have been presented to find an estimate of K, e.g. Wolfe (1971), Kass & Raftery (1995), Jain & Moreau (1987), Levine & Domany (2001). One of the popularly used methods, the resampling technique, tries t...

Suppose that U = (U(1), … , U(d)) has a Uniform ([0, 1](d)) distribution, that Y = (Y(1), … , Y(d)) has the distribution G on [Formula: see text], and let X = (X(1), … , X(d)) = (U(1)Y(1), … , U(d)Y(d)). The resulting class of distributions of X (as G varies over all distributions on [Formula: see text]) is called the Scale Mixture of Uniforms class of distributions, and the corresponding class...
