Molecular tweezers with a 2,4,6-triphenyl-1,3,5-triazine spacer exhibit diverse dimerization through pi-pi stacking interactions in the solid state, and these dimeric species form highly organized supramolecular networks.

In the title compound, C33H26N2O4, the pyrazole ring makes dihedral angles of 15.13 (7) and 60.80 (7)° with the adjacent phenyl rings. Both di-hydro-pyran rings exhibit half-chair conformations. A weak intra-molecular C-H⋯O inter-action occurs. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into inversion dimers through pairs of C-H⋯N inter-actions. Weak C-H⋯π inter-actions are also observed.

The title compound, C(18)H(15)BrSi, crystallizes with two almost identical mol-ecules (r.m.s. deviation for all non-H atoms = 0.074 Å) in the asymmetric unit. It is isomorphous with chloro-triphenyl-silane.
