We introduce a novel method for retrieving the phase from a spectral shearing interferogram, based on wavelet-transform technique. We demonstrate with both theoretical and experimental data that this technique provides an alternative and reliable technique for phase retrieval, particularly for highly structured pulse spectra.
We describe a novel effect involving odd-order dispersion cancellation. We demonstrate that odd- and even-order dispersion cancellation may be obtained in different regions of a single quantum interferogram using frequency-anticorrelated entangled photons and a new type of quantum interferometer. This offers new opportunities for quantum communication and metrology in dispersive media.
A study of the interferometric characteristics of manmade features is presented. Tests for the assessment of their phase stability are applied for two case studies. The results indicate that small features show spatially homogeneous phase information in a single interferogram and that this information remains stable also in time even at the level of single pixels.
Registration of SAR images is required for interferometric processing and multitemporal analysis. A procedure which allows simultaneous generation and registration of SAR images from spaceborne sensors is presented. The procedure is based on the properties of the chirp scaling algorithm and is used in a interferometric processor to generate the interferogram, the fringes and the coherence map.
