We derive a general framework for describing semi-inclusive deep-inelastic lepton-nucleon scattering in terms of the unintegrated parton distributions and other higher twist parton correlations. Such a framework provides a consistent approach to the calculation of inclusive and semi-inclusive cross sections including higher twist effects. As an example, we calculate the azimuthal asymmetries to...

Results are given on the measurements of the hard diffractive interactions at HERA ep collider. The structure of the diffractive exchange in terms of partons and the factorisation properties are discussed, in particular by comparing the QCD predictions for dijets and D * with measurements both in the photo and electroproduction regimes.

The Series in Applied Psychology offers publications that emphasize research and its applications to important issues of human behavior in a variety of social settings. The objective is to bridge both academic and applied interests. This book, Inclusive Leadership: The Essential Leader-Follower Relationship, is an important addition to our series and represents a valuable contribution to the ev...

We propose to perform measurements of the ratio R = σ L /σ T of longitudinal to transverse cross sections in pion electroproduction. Our emphasis will be on measurements in the so-called semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering region, with extensions into the exclusive region. Whereas inclusive scattering can not distinguish between the quark flavor, there is great promise in flavor decomposit...

In spite of many achievements against the Millennium Development Goals, the gains from economic growth and poverty reduction have been accompanied by growing inequality and low income people are part of development on adverse terms. These issues inform debates about inclusive development: How can the terms and conditions for low income people’s participation in national development be changed f...

A large and well-characterized group of children with mild developmental delays initially enrolled in full-inclusion preschool or kindergarten programs was followed for 3 years. Changes in the type of inclusive placements as children transitioned to first and second grades were monitored, and associations between placement type and child and family characteristics were examined. Results reveale...

To be truly gender responsive, HIV/AIDS programming for women and girls also needs to be fully gender inclusive. Gender identity is not necessarily determined by one's sex assigned at birth and not everyone is only or always simply "male" or "female." Transgender women (transwomen) and girls are those individuals whose gender identity and/or expression do not align with the "male" sex they were...
