We estimate the mass of the lightest neutral Higgs boson h in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model with universal soft supersymmetry-breaking masses (CMSSM), subject to the available accelerator and astrophysical constraints. For mt = 174.3 GeV, we find that 114 GeV < mh < 127 GeV and a peak in the tanβ distribution ≃ 55. We observe two distinct peaks in the distribution o...

The processes e + e − → nγ (n ≥ 2) are studied to estimate the total and differential cross sections of these reactions using the L3 data collected during 1991–1998 at energies (√ s) in the range 91–183 GeV. The lower limits obtained at 95% CL are, on a contact interaction energy scale Λ > 1065 GeV, on the mass of an excited electron m e * > 263 GeV. The upper and lower limits on the gravitatio...

Combining the multilepton searches at LHC, we study possibilities of accommodating new data muon and electron $g\ensuremath{-}2$ anomalies in lepton-specific inert two-Higgs-doublet model. We take heavy $CP$-even Higgs as 125 GeV Higgs, find can be explained simultaneously region $5\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}<{m}_{h}<60\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}$, $200\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}<{m}_{A}<620\tex...

Di-hadron correlations in proton-proton collisions at √ s = 200 GeV are interpreted in terms of a fragmentation width and a momentum imbalance. A fragmentation width of 580 ± 50 GeV/c is obtained, and the momentum imbalance gives an ‘intrinsic’ transverse momentum width of partons in the proton of 2.6 ± 0.2 GeV/c.

Measurements of elementary pp collisions are essential for understanding heavy ion collisions. Results for pp collisions at 200 and 62.4 GeV are presented. At both energies NLO pQCD describes pion production well. The measured pion transverse single spin asymmetries are very large at 62.4 GeV and are reasonably well described by models relying on pQCD at transverse momenta larger than 1 GeV/c.

We present an analysis to determine the charm quark mass from nonrelativistic sum rules, using a combined approach taking into account fixed-order and effective-theory calculations. Non-perturbative corrections as well as higher-order perturbative corrections are under control. For the PS mass we find mPS(0.7 GeV) = 1.50± 0.04 GeV which translates into a MS mass of m = 1.25± 0.04 GeV.

This paper provides information on extreme value modeling of stream flow extremes from three rivers in the New York City Metropolitan Area using generalized extreme value distribution (GEV). GEV parameters including location, scale, and shape are analyzed to get an appropriate minimum window size for stationary conditions, and then the time series analysis of GEV parameters are performed by usi...

We present measurements by STAR of the anisotropic flow coefficients v 2 and v 4 as a function of particle-type, centrality, transverse momentum and pseudorapidity in Au+Au collisions at RHIC. Anisotropic flow is an azimuthal correlation of the particle momenta with respect to the reaction plane. This flow is recognized as one of the main observables that provide information on the early stage ...
