This paper describes how object-oriented software construction principles allow to develop extensible and reusable building blocks for the development of data flow based visual languages. First we’ll present the data flow visual language ProtoHyperflow whose object-oriented realization is discussed in the second part of the paper.

A model based on elementary principles of hydrodynamics and mathematics is proposed for classroom research on concepts related to blood flow physiology. This is an analog model of the vascular system in which blood flow is represented by electrical current flowing in a resistance circuit. The model permits analysis of the change in hemodynamics with local stenosis of both large and peripheral v...

Abstract In order to understand the fundamental measurement capabilities of different flow velocity principles based on Mie scattering, a equation how calculate shot noise limit for respective signal model is derived. The derivation well-known rules uncertainty propagation and yields Cramér–Rao bound without necessity Fisher information. derived next applied compare Doppler time-of-flight inclu...

Objective: In this article, a numerical study is conducted on mixing of two fluids in the liquid phase with two different concentrations of a chemical species in the electro-osmotic flow. Methods: The base liquid is an electrolyte which flows in a two-dimensional micro-channel having electrically charged walls. Lorentz electric force, which is used as stimulating flow factor, is created by appl...

This paper examines the instruments and procedures found on state-of-the-art commercial airline flight decks. It argues that the flight deck as a whole should be viewed as a cognitive system and shows how design decisions may affect patterns of information flow which, in turn, produce cognitive consequences for the flight deck system. Some notable successes and persistent problems are described...
