جنس تکگونه‌ایGontscharovia با گونهG. popovii برای اولین بار از ایران گزارش می‌شود. این گونه براساس صفات مورفولوژیکی برگها, گل آذین، کاسه گل و فندقه تشخیص داده می‌شود.
