It is known that optical activities can perform rotations. It is shown that the rotation, if modulated by attenuations, can perform symmetry operations of Wigner’s little group which dictates the internal space-time symmetries of elementary particles.

We give a short elementary proof of the well known identity ζ(2) = ∑∞ k=1 1/k 2 = π/6. The idea is to write the partial sums of the series as a telescoping sum and to estimate the error term. Various recent results of new particle searches at the Fermilab Tevatron are presented. No evidence is found for supersymmetric particles (chargino, gluino), leptoquark bosons and heavy gauge bosons in pp̄ collisions at √ s = 1.8 TeV. Excluded mass regions for each particle are determined.
I discuss the importance of the O(g4m2t/M 2 W ) corrections to the effective electroweak angle and MW in the indirect determination of the Higgs mass.
