-Low frequency noise in four-terminal JFETs has been measured as a function of substrate (second gate) bias with temperature and drain current as additional variables. Sharp peaks of noise have been observed at some values of gate bias. The mechanism of low frequency noise caused by Schockley-Read-Hall (SRH) centres and the significance of charge capture processes in and near the channel are di...

OBJECTIVE To compare occupational exposure to extremely-low-frequency magnetic field (ELF-MF) between dentists practicing in dental clinics and those employed in hospitals. METHODS Thirty-two dentists who worked at clinics (n=15) and 33 dentists employed at hospital dental departments (n=7) voluntarily provided their informed consent to participate in this measurement study. The study dentist...

Electric field induced by charge oscillation has been investigated by simulation of the electric field distribution using the finite-difference frequency-domain method. In addition, the electric field was induced by spatial oscillation of a sample to which a DC voltage was applied. The simulation and evaluation of the electric field verified that the efficiency for inducing the electric field h...

In this study, the influence of power frequency electromagnetic field on body mass was investigated. Experiment was performed on male rats during the first three months of their postnatal life. The obtained results indicated to small changes in body mass and significant alterations of mass gain in exposed animals, compared to controls.

Animals from a wide range of taxa have been shown to possess magnetic sense and use magnetic compasses to orient; however, there is no information in the literature on whether lizards have either of these abilities. In this study, we investigated the behavioral responses of a diurnal agamid lizard (Pogona vitticeps) to a sinusoidal extremely low-frequency electromagnetic field (ELF-EMF; 6 and 8...
