This publication lists and describes common viruses spread in cucurbit crops by whiteflies. It includes strategies for managing whiteflies, most of them originally from a similar on whiteflies tomatoes.

Using cucurbit[6]uril as protecting agent, well-defined Pd NPs were prepared via a simple one-pot method under mild conditions. The CB[6]-Pd NPs are very stable and have high chemical activities for catalyzing Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions.

A pseudo-polycation was prepared based on the supramolecular cucurbit[8]uril ternary complex. It was then layer-by-layer assembled with poly(acrylic acid) to fabricate a stimuli-responsive film, which exhibited disassembly properties in response to stimuli, providing a supramolecular route for the fabrication of free-standing thin films.

A general protocol based on spontaneous adsorption of cucurbit[n]uril (CB[n]) molecules through a strong multivalence interaction between CB[n] and gold is described, by which the formation of self-assembled CB[n] monolayers on gold surfaces can be efficiently achieved.

Analysis of an RNA-seq library from cucumber leaf RNA extracted from a fast technology for analysis of nucleic acids (FTA) card revealed the first complete genome of Cucurbit aphid-borne yellows virus (CABYV) from East Timor. We compare it with 35 complete CABYV genomes from other world regions. It most resembled the genome of the South Korean isolate HD118.

The fluorescence of a designed water-soluble 4-sulfonato-1,8-naphthalimide dye can be switched on by the synchronous host-guest complexation with cucurbit[7]uril and decrease in pH (from 9 to 7). This affords a dual resettable (by addition of cadaverine as competitor or by deprotonation) logic gate based on modulation of photoinduced electron transfer.

Binding interactions between twisted cucurbit[14]uril (tQ[14]) and a series of alkyldiammonium ions both in aqueous solution and DMSO media were investigated by NMR spectroscopy and ITC. Experimental data indicate that tQ[14] possesses two kinds of cavities with different space environments, which can encapsulate two or even three guest molecules with suitable shape and size.

The self-organization of cucurbit[n]uril (n = 7 and 8, CBs) complexes was probed by electrospray mass spectrometry. The self-association of CB complexes is a general phenomenon but shows some dependence on the absence, presence, and type of included guest molecules.

In the present paper the systematic enumeration of Cucurbit germplasm of Bihar State has been described. The three genera recorded from field were Luffa, Momordica and Trichosanthes. Three species of Luffa, five species of Momordica and three species of Trichosanthes were collected and described in detail.
