We extend the classical integrability of the CGHS model of 2d gravity [1] to a larger class of models, allowing the gravitational part of the action to depend more generally on the dilaton field and, simultaneously, adding fermion– and U(1)–gauge–fields to the scalar matter. On the other hand we provide the complete solution of the most general dilaton–dependent 2d gravity action coupled to chi...
We apply the strategy of regions within dimensional regularization to find functions involved in evolution equations which govern the asymptotic dynamics of the Abelian form factor and four-fermion amplitude in the SU(N) gauge theory in the Sudakov limit up to the next-to-leading logarithmic approximation. The results are used for the analysis of the dominant electroweak corrections to the ferm...
Chiral fermions can (presumably) be constructed by introducing two regulators, one for the gauge fields (e.g. a lattice), and another for the fermion functional integrals in a fixed (regulated) gauge field. This talk discusses cutoff effects arising from the regulator of the fermions.
The effective potential of composite fermion fields in three dimensional Thirring model in curved space–time is calculated in linear curvature approximation. The phase transition accompanied by the creation of non– zero chiral invariant bifermionic vector–like condensate is shown to exist. The type of this phase transition is discussed.
The Gauge Technique has been applied to QED2+1 in the quenched case with infrared subtraction. The behaviour of the fermion propagator near the threshold is then found to be S(p) → (γ · p+m) (p2 −m2) ( p2 −m2 2m2 ) exp(− 2 ), where ς = e2/(4πm) and this is gauge invariant except the exponential factor. We also find a spectral function in the Landau and Yennie like gauge. The propagators S(p) ar...
A novel approach to parton distributions parameterization in terms of quantum statistical functions is here outlined. The description, already proposed in previous publications, is here improved by adding to the statistical distributions an unpolarized liquid component. This new contribution to fermion partons is able to reproduce the expected low x behaviour of structure functions. The analysi...
A conjectured finite M-theory based on eleven-dimensional supergravity formulated in a superspace with a non-anticommutative ♦-product of field operators is proposed. Supermembranes are incorporated in the superspace ♦-product formalism. When the deformed supersymmetry invariant action of eleven-dimensional supergravity theory is expanded about the standard supersymmetry invariant action, the s...
The Gauge Technique has been applied to QED2+1 in the quenched case with infrared subtraction. The behaviour of the fermion propagator near the threshold is then found to be S(p) → (γ · p+m) (p −m) ( p −m 2m ) exp(− ης 2 ), where ς = e/(4πm) and this is gauge invariant except the exponential factor. We also find a spectral function in the Landau and Yennie like gauge. The propagators S(p) are e...
We examine the fermion propagator in quenched QED in three and four dimension using gauge covariant approximation which preserves Ward-Takahashi Identity with appropriate renormalization to smooth the threshold behaviour of the fermion self energy .Thus we avoid the infrared singurality in three dimension. The behaviour of the fermion propagator in three dimension near the threshold is then fou...
We study extensions of the standard model with a strongly coupled fourth generation. This occurs in models where electroweak symmetry breaking is triggered by the condensation of at least some of the fourth-generation fermions. With focus on the phenomenology at the LHC, we study the pair production of fourth-generation down quarks, D4. We consider the typical masses that could be associated wi...
