Robocode is a virtual environment in which in Java programmed bots compete. It is a perfect environment to apply and test Genetic Programming. This thesis describes an implementation which uses both grammar and trees to generate and mutate Java code. Populations, which evolve parallel, focus on different aspects of Robocode bots to refrain from converging to local maxima. The are mixed at the e...

Or traceback, thus making the detection of P2P bots is a real challenge. Fected machine by correlating bots behavioural attributes. Peacomm Storm P2P bot is. Stegginkrp1p2pdetect conceptpaper.pdf?id2007-2008. And focus on CC channel detection for P2P botnets that use multiple protocols randomly chosen for CC. We first consider a clustering based node behavior profiling approach to capture the n...

The theme of this issue is “Bots in Software Engineering,” and we’ve collected a number recent papers about bots that interact with source code repositories. These were published at the fourth International Workshop on Bots Engineering (BotSE ’22), 37th ACM/SIGAPP Symposium Applied Computing (SAC Conference Information Systems (ICIS ’21), 19th Mining Repositories (MSR ’22).

OBJECTIVE We wanted to evaluate the diagnostic value of serum CA-125 concentration, when used in combination with the preoperative contrast-enhanced CT results, to differentiate borderline ovarian tumors (BOTs) from stage I malignant epithelial ovarian tumors (MEOTs). MATERIALS AND METHODS Ninety-eight masses (46 BOTs and 52 stage I MEOTs) from 87 consecutive patients (49 with BOTs and 38 wit...

Botnets—networks of (typically compromised) machines—are often used for nefarious activities (e.g., spam, click fraud, denial-of-service attacks, etc.). Identifying members of botnets could help stem these attacks, but passively detecting botnet membership (i.e., without disrupting the operation of the botnet) proves to be difficult. This paper studies the effectiveness of monitoring lookups to...

In this paper, we study coordinated motion in a swarm robotic system, called a swarm-bot. A swarm-bot is a self-assembling and self-organising artifact, composed of a swarm of s-bots, mobile robots with the ability to connect to and disconnect from each other. The swarm-bot concept is particularly suited for tasks that require all-terrain navigation abilities, such as space exploration or rescu...

An in-depth understanding of botnet behavior is a precursor to building effective defenses against this serious and growing threat. In this paper we describe our initial steps toward building a flexible and scalable laboratory testbed for experiments with bots and botnets. Our Botnet Evaluation Environment (BEE) is designed to enable individual bots or networks of up to thousands of bots to be ...

BACKGROUND The optimal surgical management and staging of borderline ovarian tumors (BOTs) are controversial. Institutions have different surgical approaches for the treatment of BOTs. Here, we performed a retrospective review of clinical characteristics, surgical management and surgical outcomes, and sought to identify variables affecting disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) i...

Social bots can affect online communication among humans. We study this phenomenon by focusing on #YaMeCanse, the most active protest hashtag in the history of Twitter in Mexico. Accounts using the hashtag are classified using the BotOrNot bot detection tool. Our preliminary analysis suggests that bots played a critical role in disrupting online communication about the protest movement.
