In the title compound, C(15)H(10)FNO(3), the dihedral angle between the isoindoline-1,3-dione and 3-fluoro-4-methyl-phenol groups is 86.88 (8)°. The isoindoline-1,3-dione fragment is almost planar, with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.0154 Å within the group. Inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate C(6) chains running parallel to the [010] direction.

Novel benzimidazolo indane-1, 3-dione derivatives were synthesized and characterized by IR, HNMRand Mass spectral analysis. Biological screening of synthesized compounds allowed the identification of some novelanthelmintic agents bearing indane-1, 3-dione and benzimidazole scaffolds. Some of these compounds exhibited promisinganthelmintic activities.
