Although perceived by candidates and parties as important in affecting political outcomes, the link between spending and success in multicandidate, multiparty election campaigns remains unproven. Not only are there relatively few studies of campaign spending effects in multiparty systems, there are none examining the effect under the Single Transferable Vote (STV) electoral system. Our study ex...

it is not possible to understand developments of a country’s culture and civilization without knowing his believes and myths. whether it is north or south, east or west, planes or mountains, sahara or deserts, here in iran every corner includes valuable and precious treasures which are known all over the world, and cultural – historical objects which are found here adorn all well known museums of the globe. zagros mountains, lorestan province locating at the heart of that, are not only the same, but are more prominent than other iranian regions. you can not find someone who does not know what the lorestani bronzes are, and there is no museum that not be pride of having a piece of that. the said bronzes which are manufactured four millenniums b.c. are admired nearly by all those researchers because of their beauty, diversity and technique. lorestani artistic works including stone engraves, bronzes and clays, show an ideal and metaphysical world beside real world which explain mental system of human beings on that era against sensations and phenomena happening around them. men main mental occupation on that time was he unknown world which had surrounded them, and they used to use the religion to fight life’s natural factors, and art was a tool of religious and mythical painting which was far from reality and had entered into the abstract domain. as natural objects have become subjects of lorestani art, it cleanses them from any non – intrinsic limitations and external factors which surround them and darken their meanings, and just shows their main specifications. artist in the said civilization is not searching for realism. although these are few works showing the nature, but in effect there is no wish to imitate touchable factors of the nature, and artist has turned real phenomena to encoded signs as per his own mentality. this procedure is called stylization.

Given a functor T : C → D carrying a class of morphisms S ⊂ C into a class S ⊂ D, we give sufficient conditions in order that T induces an equivalence on the localised categories. These conditions are in the spirit of Quillen’s theorem A. We give some applications in algebaic and birational geometry. Introduction Let T : C → D be a functor and S ⊂ C, S ⊂ D two classes of morphisms containing id...

There are many double complexes in the mathematics and physics literature which are related to BRST transformations and anomalies, e.g. Variational-, BRST-, Faddeev-, Koszul-Tate-, Weil-, GelfandFuks-, semi infinite-, Cech-DeRham-, foliation-, Lie group/algebrabicomplex. The goal is to identify them and to establish relations between them; to compute their cohomologies and the corresponding ano...

Consider a set A of binary sequences, or equivalently, a subset of Cantor set. Players I and II play binary bits alternatively for infinitely many turns, forming an infinite binary sequence; player I wins if the sequence is in A, and, otherwise, player II wins. We say that A is determined if one of the players has a winning strategy for this game. Statements about determinacy of games have attr...

A large two-body scattering length leads to universal behavior in few-body systems. In particular, the three-body system displays interesting features such as exact discrete scale invariance in the bound state spectrum in the limit of infinite scattering length. Here, I will discuss how an effective field theory (EFT) can be used to study these features and how the finite range of the underlyin...

Very significant advances have been made in the relativistic theory of few body systems since I visited Peter Sauer and his group in Hannover in 1983. This talk provides an opportunity to review the progress in this field since then. Different methods for the realtivistic calculation of few nucleon systems are briefly described. As an example, seven relativistic calculations of the deuteron ela...

Rock formations and structures can be subjected to both static and dynamic loadings. Static loadings resulting from different sources such as gravity and tectonic forces and dynamic forces are intermittently transmitted via vibrations of the earth’s crust, through major earthquakes, rock bursts, rock blasting and drilling and also, traffic. Reaction of rocks to cyclic and repetitive stresses re...

Bismuth telluride (Bi2Te3) and related compounds have recently attracted strong interest, owing to the discovery of the topological insulator properties in many members of this family of materials. The few-quintuple films of these materials are particularly interesting from the physics point of view. We report results of the micro-Raman spectroscopy study of the “graphene-like” exfoliated few-q...
