Dimethylaminoethyl azide (DMAZ) is a good candidate fuel for hydrazine derivatives in aerospace industries. DMAZ is synthesized via reaction of dimethyl aminoethyl hydrochloride with sodium azide in aqueous solution, which, in next step, by adding of concentrated sodium hydroxide, organic phase is separated.
