Annulated pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine/pyrano[2,3-d]uracil derivatives were synthesized using aromatic aldehydes, active methylene compounds and barbituric acid in presence of dibutylamine (DBA) catalyst in ethanol as solvent.
