Prioritize the components of regionalism in choosing the field of architectural design to increase the satisfaction of tourists

Aim and Background: Today tourism is recognized as the cleanest and most sustainable industry in the world and tourist satisfaction is one of the most important factors in the success and cycle of this industry receiving much attention from many researchers and investors in this industry. Considering ecology and regionalism architecture as effective factor on the satisfaction of tourists is the main subject of this research and its purpose is to prioritize the components of regional architecture in enhancing the quality of service and satisfaction from the tourists' point of view. Methodology: This study is a descriptive-analytic in terms of method and aims to prioritize the most important features of regional architecture according to the needs and demands of tourists. Therefore, first the main local and international texts of concepts related to satisfaction and regional architecture are studied and then in the next step, two questionnaires were designed for pairwise comparison of indices and sub-indices for data analysis using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). ) We used the toursits of ecotourism areas as respondents. Results: The indices suitable for satisfying this style of architecture are classified into 5 indices and 14 sub-indices. Then we prioritize each of them in order to increase tourist satisfaction. Conclusion: The results show that environment study (A) with the weight 0.331 ranks first, attention to international and regional conditions (C) with the weight 0.197 ranks second, considering the region ecosystem (B) with the weight 0.80 have achieved the third rank.
