Tissue Engineering in Dentistery

Abstract:
Introduction Perforation of maxillary sinus mucous membrane is of the most prevalent complication during open sinus lift surgery. Moreover, such complication can usually be managed by an absorbable membrane. As far as absorbable membranes are concerned, decellularized maxillary sinus mucous membranes, which is an extracellular matrix, can be used as a biologic scaffold and insulating membrane in sinus lifting surgery. Methods: The decellularization process of the maxillary sinus membrane was performed by the means of physical and chemical procedures (liquid nitrogen and sodium dodecyl sulfate). Then this membrane was used as a bioscaffold for culturing with adult mesenchymal stem cells, which are derived from adipose tissue. Results: Histologic evaluation of decellularized scaffold revealed that cell of the schreiderian membrane were compatible removed via concentration of 1% SDS. Scanning electron microscope (S6N – Leo vp1450 Germany) of the scaffold indicated that collagen fibers of decellularized maxillary sinus membrane we intact. Culture studies showed that this scaffold supports cell seeding . Conclusion: Decellularized human maxillary schainderian membrane has 3D structure similar to extracellular matrix of native tissue. It can support cell seeding. Keywords: Decellularized, Electron microscope, Tissue enggiering.

full textAdvanced tissue engineering in periodontal Regeneration
The old wishes of people were to regenerate lost tissues of periodontium that this fact is achieved by gen and cell therapy .Periodontal disease is a chronic inflammation around the tooth by microbes that causes destruction of supporting structure of tissue of tooth such as alveolar bone, cementum and periodontal ligament. For treatment of periodontal diseases we can use the biomaterials which ...
full textTissue Engineering in Maxillary Bone Defects
BACKGROUND Restoration of craniofacial bone defects has been a concern for oral and maxillofacial surgeons. In this study, the healing effect of fibrin glue scaffold was compared with autologous bone graft in mandibular defects of rabbit. METHODS Bilateral unicortical osteotomy was performed in the diastema region of 10 male Dutch rabbits. The subjects were randomly divided into 2 equal group...
full textCurrent Concepts in Scaffolding for Bone Tissue Engineering
Bone disorders are of significant worry due to their increased prevalence in the median age. Scaffold-based bonetissue engineering holds great promise for the future of osseous defects therapies. Porous composite materials andfunctional coatings for metallic implants have been introduced in next generation of orthopedic medicine for tissueengineering. While osteoconductive materials such as hyd...
full textManufacturing a Biomimetic Biorecator in Cardiac Tissue Engineering
Introduction: The direct approach of cardiac tissue engineering is to mimic the natural tissue of heart, considering the significant role of scaffolding and mechanical simulation. Methods: To achieve this purpose, a composite Polycaprolactone (PCL)/Gelatin electrospun scaffold with a ratio of 70:30 and with the most similarities to the cardiac extracellular matrix was fabricated with aligned ...
