The effect of selected perceptual - motor programs of fine motor development and writing score motion dysgraphia children
Authors
Abstract:
Abstract objective: The porpose of this study was to study the effect of a selected perceptual-motor training on fine motor skills and writing children with motion dysgraphia. Method: The present research belongs to the category of applied research and in the field of semi-experimental research. Among 41 male students suspected of writing disorder were studying in regular schools, which Ziaabadi city, 20 children (Third garde) purposefully selected and randomly assigned two groups (one experimental + one control). The Experimental groups had 3 days a week for 6 weeks training programs. Measurement tools and Analysis: was Individual characteristics questionnaire, Bruininks-Oseretsky test of motor proficiency (BOTMP) and third-grade writing test. Were used to measure the variables Analysis of covariance was used to test the hypothesis. Results: The results showed that experimental group (training program) in fine motor skills were better than control group. And the results showed that experimental group (training program) in writing test were better than control group. Conclusion: selected perceptual-motor training, can improve their fine motor skills and writing of children with motion dysgraphia. Considering the results of this study that indicated selected perceptual-motor training improves writing scores, it is suggested that these types of programs be used in educational and rehabilitation centers for children with learning disabilities.
