The effect of core stability training on static and dynamic balance in older men
Authors
Abstract:
Purpose: Considering the increasing spread of elderly people and the importance of maintaining balance in the elderly as one of the factors preventing aging problems, this study investigated the effect of central stabilization exercises on elderly people's balance. Methods: 30 elderly men with an average age of 63.66 who were divided into two groups with high risk of falling and falling into low risk groups after the berg test. Then, both groups were randomly divided into experimental and control groups. Stability traning do for for six weeks and after six weeks the berg test was retested. The results of pre-test and post test compared by T-test. Results: Six weeks of central stabilization training significantly increased leaf test scores in the Elderly group with low risk of falls (0.8) compared to the control group (4.1), p = 0.5 and the Elderly group. There was a significant decrease in the risk of falling (0.2%) compared to the control group (0.2%), p = 0.6 and also to the pretest scores in both groups. Discussion & Conclusion: Central stabilization exercises can improve the quality of life in the elderly by improving balance in the elderly

The Effect of Core Stability Exercises on Static and Dynamic Balance in Healthy Older Men
Abstract Introduction: Disturbance in maintaining balance and controlling posture is one of the consequences of aging, which, with changes in standing and walking patterns, causes a decrease in functional readiness in the elderly, which leads to a decrease in the sense of balance, loss of coordination, and muscle weakness in these people. As a result, it causes many problems such as frequent f...

Abstract Introduction: Total-Body Resistance Training (TRX) is a new method for increasing muscle strength and decreasing muscle atrophy and improving balance in the elderly. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of 12 weeks of TRX training on static and dynamic balance in elderly men. Methods: In this quasi experimental study, 16 elderly men, with age range of (62.06 ± 1.5...

Purpose: of the most critical changes in the elderly is the weakness in keeping their balance that can expose them to severe injury risks. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of 8 weeks of strength, balance, and combined (strength and balance) training programs on the dynamic and static balance of inactive older men. Methods: Forty older men, who were the members of Robat Kar...
