Teaching approach training to foster book reading and its effect on increase of study motives and studying non-lesson books of elementary students.

Abstract:

Goal: Today study or reading is one of the important tools to human communication in the world based on maintained effects of others. According to education systems of developed societies, students would be encouraged to read lessons and additional books. By this reading behavior would be created. The goal of this study is teaching approach training to foster book reading and its effect on increase of study motives and studying non-lesson books of zahedan elementary students. Methodology: Research plan is half-exprimental as pre-test and post-test with follow up based on  control group. Research statistical population include of girl and boy students of sixth grade. Sample include of 100 students (50 exprimental samples and 50 control samples). Samples have been selected by purposeful sampling. To gather data, two researcher made questionairres have been provided to determine study motives and non-lessen study. Experimental plan include of twelve 45 minutes sessions during two months. After sessions, post-test was performed and follow up has been performed during one month after end of sessions data analysis has been performed by covariance method. Findings: Covariance analysis findings show the effect of teaching approach training to foster book reading and increase of study motives and studying non-lesson books during post-test. Conclusion: It is recommended to in-charges of adolences affairs to use plans based on holding book reading and study training courses to increase study motives and non-lesson book reading.
