Status of ancillary services in the children section of public libraries and its relationship with loyalty of children aged 7-11 years in Khuzestan province, Iran

The aim of this study was to investigate the status of ancillary services in the children section of public libraries in Khuzestan province and its relationship with the loyalty of children aged 7-11 years. The research method used was mixed (qualitative and quantitative) and included a combined mode. The qualitative part of the research referenced public libraries of Khuzestan province and the reviewing regulations, a checklist including the ancillary services of the children's section has been presented. The quantitative part of the research, utilized the Customer Loyalty Evaluation Questionnaire (Moghimi and Ramadan, 2011; MoonQ and Lawrence 2001). The studied variables were measured and the research questions were answered using quantitative methods. The statistical population of this study included all children users aged 7 to 11 years in public libraries of Khuzestan province in 2020, of which 380 people were selected by cluster sampling as a research sample. Descriptive and inferential statistics methods have been used to analyze the data. The results showed that according to the checklist, 27 ancillary services should be performed in the public libraries of the province. Among the services listed, there were three services that provide services to specific groups, hold national and religious celebrations - but inviting actors and artists in libraries were not implemented. The level of satisfaction of children aged 7 to 11 years in public libraries of Khuzestan province from the ancillary services provided in these libraries was rated as "good". Also, there is a significant relationship between the satisfaction of these children and all aspects of loyalty components studied.
