Spatial analysis of social pathology in Iran from the perspective of social geography using the Cocoso technique

Aims and Background: One of the issues that have a great contribution in achieving social comfort and welfare is security and analysis of its related components. The present study was conducted with the aim of social pathology and analyzing indicators related to social security in Iran by using the combined compromise solution, which is one of the new multi-attribute decision-making techniques.    Methodology: The present study is of analytical-explanatory type. By Using Cocoso multi-indicator decision making technique, indicators related to social security in Iran have been analyzed. The required data for the research were collected through the Iranian statistical yearbook in 1397. The scope of research consists of the provinces of Iran in 1398. Social security indicators in Iran have been analyzed using three strategies of the combined compromise solution model.  Findings: In the first strategy (Ka), Tehran province with (0.007) had the lowest score. In this strategy, after Tehran province, Mazandaran province with (0.030) and Fars province with (0.031) score had the lowest score. Ilam province is in the fourth place with (0.032) score. In this strategy, Ardabil, Bushehr, South Khorasan, North Khorasan, Qazvin, Kurdistan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Markazi and Yazd provinces gained the most points by gaining (0.034) score. In the third strategy (Kc), Tehran province with (0.216) score had the lowest score. In this strategy, Bushehr, Qazvin and North Khorasan provinces have jointly obtained the best score by gaining (1) score. The provinces with the highest and highest scores are in the green in terms of social security indicators.  Conclusion: The final results of the combination of the three strategies of the Cocoso model show that Bushehr province is in the first place with a score (4,588) and this province is the safest province in Iran in terms of indicators.
