Abstract:

The lack of renewable primary resources is one of the most serious challenges in recent decades. So under this circumstance, managers are looking for appropriate solutions for the optimal use of these resources to improve the efficiency of the under management units.  One of the most widely used techniques in finding the optimal resource is data envelopment analysis (DEA). So in this paper, in order to resource re-allocation in parallel systems, a new DEA model is introduced. Then by using of bi-level programing, a new method is applied to solve proposed model. Finally, for the validity of the proposed model, the new model is applied to a real case study and analyzed the obtained results.

Resource Allocation through Context-dependent data envelopment analysis

System designs, optimizing resource allocation to organization units, is still being considered as a complicated problem especially when there are multiple inputs and outputs related to a unit. The algorithm presented here will divide the frontiers obtained with DEA. In this way, we investigate a new approach for resource allocation.

A Bi-level Formulation for Centralized Resource Allocation DEA Models

In this paper, the common centralized DEA models are extended to the bi-level centralized resource allocation (CRA) models based on revenue efficiency. Based on the Karush–Kuhn–Tucker (KKT) conditions, the bi-level CRA model is reduced to a one-level mathematical program subject to complementarity constraints (MPCC). A recurrent neural network is developed for solving this one-level mathematica...

Efficient location by using data envelopment analysis

So far, many types of location models have been developed to find optimal spatial patterns according to different spatial metrics such as cost, coverage and availability.  The initial focus of these models is on the location availability of service providers and demand estimates, and some of these models are within the framework of multi-objective programming models.  After the advent of scienc...

Estimating Efficiency of Bank Branches by Dynamic Network Data Envelopment Analysis and Artificial Neural Network

Network data envelopment analysis models assess efficiency of decision-making unit and its sections using historical data but fail to measure efficiency of its units and their internal stages in the future. In this paper we aim to measure efficiency of stages of bank branches and obtain efficiency trend of stages during the time, then to estimate their efficiency in the future therefore we can ...

A Recurrent Neural Network to Identify Efficient Decision Making Units in Data Envelopment Analysis

In this paper we present a recurrent neural network model to recognize efficient Decision Making Units(DMUs) in Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA). The proposed neural network model is derived from an unconstrained minimization problem. In theoretical aspect, it is shown that the proposed neural network is stable in the sense of lyapunov and globally convergent. The proposed model has a single-laye...
