Abstract:

Length-weight relationship and condition factor were estimated in seven fish species, including Barbus cyri, Capoeta gracilis, Alburnoides eichwaldii, Pseudorasbora parva, Ponticola cyrius, Cobitis keyvani and Acanthalburnus microlepis from Shahrbijar River, Guilan Province, Iran. A total of 416 specimens ranging from 18 to 135 mm in total length and from 0.06 to 19.25 g in total weight were collected. Based on the results, growth coefficient values “b” ranged from 2.615 (in B. cyri) through 3.001 (in A. microlepis). All length-weight relationships were significant (p < /em>. parva, C.keyvani, P. cyrius, and B. cyri showed allometric (b

length-weight relationships of 14 fish species from tajan river, southern caspian sea basin, iran

the length-weight relationships, (lwrs) were calculated for 14 fish species belonging to five families (cyprinidae, cobitidae, nemacheilidae, salmonidae, and gobiidae) collected from the tajan river, north of iran. significant length-weight relationships with high correlation coefficients were found for all species.

This study was conducted to determine length-weight and length-length relationships, relative condition factor (Krel) and Fulton?s condition factor (K) for five species including Scardinius erythrophtalmus, Carassius auratus gibelio, Cyprinus carpio, Tinca tinca and Hemiculter leucisculus belonging to Cyprinidae family. Fish sampling was carried out by gill net and fyke net in the western regio...

Length-weight, length-length relationships and condition factor of Rutilus kutum (Kamensky, 1901) from different parts of the Caspian Sea basin

During 2019, the length-weight, length-length relationships and condition factor of Caspian kutum, Rutilus kutum  (Kamensky, 1901) were studied by catching a total of 339 specimens were collected from Chelvand, Khalehsara, Sefid, Khoshk and Shir rivers, Anzali Wetland and Turkmen Shores of the Caspian Sea basin. The equation W =aTLb was used to calculate the length-weight relationship, FL=a + b...
