Landslide Risk Assessment using AHP-FUZZY Combined Model in Order to Determine Urban Development and Safety )Case Study: Region 1 of Metropolitan Tehran(
author
Abstract:
Worldwide, metropolises of today are often prone to damage from natural hazards by various reasons. One of the slope instabilities that causes financial and human losses annually on socio-economics and the environment are landslides. There are tens of landslides that occur in different parts of the country each year, which threaten more residential areas, roads and facilities. In this study we have used descriptive-analytical research with a library and field study, AHP-fuzzy models and GIS for landslide risk zonation in region 1 of metropolitan Tehran. We attempted to determine the landslide processes and geomorphological hazards that limit development and safety in Region 1 of metropolitan Tehran. Landslide risk zonation map showed areas with low and very low risk that included 50% of the study area was located in the urban area of Region1 and valley talwegs of its basin. Areas with much and very much risk were located in northern parts of the area and dominant slopes. In general, upstream and downstream of basins of the watershed area reduce the rate of landslide risk. The final landslide risk map zonation for safety and development of urban areas construction should be prevented in much and very much areas of landslide risk which are located in streams margin and stream-valleys and areas that have potential of Landslide in Region 1 of Tehran. All urban land uses that include residential land uses with engineering techniques should be stable.

The Prevalence of Urban Areas Vulnerability to Seismic Risk (A Case Study of Region One, Tehran)
Urban planning rules and considering land use regarding faults can change the consequences of natural hazard such as earthquake. Vulnerability risk is increasing in Region 1 because of existence of the north fault, steep slopes and continuous construction of high-rise buildings. It is clear that Region 1’s Master Plan shouldn’t be prepared without considering natural hazard such as ...

full textDevelopment of a human error risk assessment model in high priority emergency situation using TOPSIS, FUZZY-AHP and CREAM method
Introduction: Emergencies are unforeseen and unpredictable situations. In these situations, people’s performance is affected by various factors that cause stress. People’s performance in such situations can also affect human error probability. The purpose of this study was to evaluate human error in emergency situations based on the fuzzy CREAM and Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP). Ma...

full textUrban network risk assessment using Fuzzy-AHP and TOPSIS in GIS environment
Risk assessment of urban network using traffic indicators determines vulnerable links with high danger of traffic incidents. Thus Determination of an appropriate methodology remains a big challenge to achieve this objective. This paper proposed a methodology based on data fusion concept using Fuzzy-AHP and TOPSIS to achieve this aim. The proposed methodology tries to overcome two main problems,...
